AND SO IT ENDS (THE NEW ZEALAND PORTION ANYWAY)
Has it really come to this? Our final blog post from New Zealand. As I sit here, surrounded by luggage and anxious for the next phase of our trip, I can’t help but feel mixed emotions about leaving this place we’ve come to love so much. There is definitely a lot of sadness that comes with leaving, but when I think back on all that we’ve seen and done and accomplished here, I’m really just overwhelmed with appreciation for a truly amazing experience.
I won’t get too emotional on everyone just yet. Even though we’re leaving New Zealand, this time tomorrow we’ll be touching down in Hong Kong and I am so excited to see what all it has to offer. Jenny has talked about Hong Kong for as long as I can remember and the place holds so many fond memories for her and her family. I have no doubt it will live up to expectations.
And, with our travels approaching an end, we can finally share with everyone something we’ve both been working tirelessly on for the past few months and particularly these last few days. During our three week stay in Wanaka we decided it would be fun to start putting together a photo book of some of the places we visited along the way. What started out as a fun little side project has turned into a 114 page labor of love and we are both extremely proud of how it has turned out.
The price ended up being a bit steep, but if you’re into it there’s the option to order one for yourself … or I hear they make great Mother’s Day presents ;)
