Keep up with us on our six month adventure to the other side of the world. We may have very well lost our minds, but that won't keep this from being the trip of a lifetime. We hope you'll join us!
BIG BUDDHA

Day two in Hong Kong we headed out to Lantau Island to see the famous Tian Tan Buddha statue and visit the Po Lin monastery. It really is pretty amazing to see that giant statue sitting up on the hillside.

We also got to see a new addition to the area called the Wisdom Path which is a series of half logs standing along an infinity shaped path, each with Chinese words of wisdom carved into them. We happened to visit just as a fog started to roll through which I thought added a nice mystical feel to the path.

That night we had dinner at a beautiful restaurant called Hutong, and enjoyed the first half of a two-part Christmas gift from Sarah and Richard (Jenny’s sister and her husband) with some drinks at Tott’s, a really great bar in downtown Hong Kong with a fantastic view of the city. Thanks guys!!
